The Opportunity:

In collaboration with the Ministry of the Solicitor General, we are seeking a Registered Psychotherapist or Social worker, to provide counselling services to assigned probation cases referred by the Youth Justice Services in Peel Region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical support to clients and consultative support to the open custody workers/leadership as needed.
• Deliver services in person at probation office, alternating between the Brampton & Mississauga locations.
• Services are provided within a transdisciplinary team model using a client-centered approach.
• Follow the Government Counselling Services client services model and administrative requirements to the Ministry of the Solicitor General.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
• Registered with CRPO or OCSWSSW.
• Knowledge of evidence-based techniques and interventions for high risk youths.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
• Minimum of 4 hours/week of availability bi-weekly for direct client sessions
