Logistics Coordinator/Dispatcher

Johnstown, Ontario

FULL-TIME POSITION

Responsibilities:

• Source daily carrier options for freight movements throughout Canada / USA
• Negotiate short term and long term programs with outside carrier partners
• Communicate order status with internal / external customers
• Assist in sourcing freight opportunities for company trucks
• Provide market pricing and conditions to internal sales staff
• Maintain margin expectations through strong negotiations and communications with sales
• Provide logistical solutions for all customers (all modes of transport)
• Will be required to provide dispatch duties based on business requirements (training will be provided for this)

Requirements:

• Previous experience – preferably with a 3rd party provider or trucking company
• Knowledge of cross border requirements
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work well as part of a team and as an individual
• Excellent computer skills
• Post secondary education an asset

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $45,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
