This hybrid role consists of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Payroll. The successful candidate will be trained in all three jobs, able to fill in at any time. Must have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. The successful candidate will work a 40 hour week, made up of days, evenings, and every second weekend.
Accounts Receivable: processing incoming receivables in compliance with financial policies and procedures. Generate financial statements and reports detailing Accounts Receivable status. Ensure accuracy and efficiency of operations.
Accounts Payable: Processing invoices, paying vendors in a timely manner, ensuring vendor statements are reconciled. Must be comfortable dealing with the public, following up with clients and vendors with any issues that may arise.
Payroll: Processing individual timecards for all employees, ensuring accuracy of reporting, Processing bi-weekly payroll, including letters of employment, ROE, and T4’s.
General: Serving customers, answering phones and emails, sending faxes, acting as referral point for other employees. The successful candidate will be organized, meticulous, and able to work independently as well as part of a team. Diploma in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration would be an asset.
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and accounting software.
Salary will be commensurate with experience.
