We currently have an opening in our North America region for a Senior System Administrator with strong level of expertise in Linux and HPC environments.
Your Role:
- Participating as a member of a global Enterprise Infrastructure and Datacenter Team providing local, regional, and company-wide services that includes design, configuration, implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, vulnerability remediation and support for cloud and on-premises platforms
- Maintaining security patching and operating systems for HPC related infrastructure and fluid dynamics software and licenses
- Monitoring solutions and provide proactive support to identify and correct issues and optimize performances and reliability before they impact operations
- Following Tetra Tech’s change management practices
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or Associates degree with emphasis or significant course work in Computer Science
- Five years’ experience as a Linux or HPC administrator
- Any satisfactory combination of experience, certification, and training which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the position
- Must be available to work 8AM-5PM PST.

- Knowledge and experience with design, build, monitoring, and maintenance of on-premises and cloud solutions
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills
- Ability to setup, execute, and coordinate IT projects
- Experience defining, managing, and implementing standards and best practices for Linux and Windows solutions and deployments
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong knowledge and expertise of Linux and HPC systems
Desired Technical Skills:
- Scripting – Perl, Bash, PowerShell
- Cloud platforms: Azure and AWS – IaaS and PaaS
- Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Dashboard configurations (Grafana)
- Web Configuration and Administration (IIS and Apache)
