The Brick Looking for Rebate Accounting Technician at Edmonton, AB Full Time

Responsibilities:

• Calculate vendor rebate claims, including running sales queries in Microsoft Access and creating reports in Microsoft Excel.
• Print, scan, and email vendor rebate claims when processed.
• Communicate with vendors for approvals of rebate claims.
• Process monthly journal entries.
• Prepare data for various monthly reports.
• Reconcile vendor accounts.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary diploma in Accounting
• 2 years related experience
• Combination of experience and education may be considered
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office programs, particularly Microsoft Excel and Access
• Knowledge of Oracle is an asset
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively to individuals both within and outside of the organization
• Ability to excel in a fast paced, fluid working environment
