Your role at Clorox:
As a member of the Product Supply Finance Team, this Financial Analyst is responsible for logistics forecasting and analysis for Canada including setting annual and ongoing freight and storage standard costs, monthly & quarterly accruals and variance analysis, TDC reporting and cost savings.
In this role, you will:
1. Support preparation of annual and quarterly logistics forecasts including variance analysis and management reports ensuring required inputs are accurately embedded in the financial forecasts within established timetables. Provide forecast and quarter end financial data to Corporate Financial Analyst to aid in completion of consolidated reporting to Clorox Corporate.
2. Prepare monthly logistics accruals and variance analysis working with 3rd party supplier, Logistics group and IT to ensure month-end deliverables met and data complete. Prepare and distribute monthly and quarterly Total Delivered Cost reporting. Help cost owners identify risks and opportunities in their spending areas (inbound and outbound freight, duty, non-compliance fees, pallet costs, redistribution allowance, CPU and storage).
3. Prepare annual and ongoing standard costs for freight and storage working closely with the Logistics group and business teams to ensure reasonability in costing inputs.
4. Responsible for Cost savings, Super User in PPM forecast and actuals process, participating in PS savings ideation sessions.
5. Support “learning culture” by contributing to continuous improvement in all major processes.
What we look for:
2 years’ experience in an accounting/ finance analyst role supporting the logistics / transportation function
Highly motivated, energetic and team-oriented
Organized, able to manage time/ multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong financial analytical capabilities and forecast experience
General accounting theory and financial statement preparation
Ability to disseminate relevant data and challenge assumptions made by personnel
Advanced Excel and strong financial modeling skills
Working knowledge of BPCS, Cognos & Essbase an asset
Ability to think strategically and communicate on a cross-functional basis
Solid understanding of other functional areas (mainly product supply)
