We are seeking a customer service oriented professional to join our team as a Human Resources Coordinator.

We are looking for someone with the ability to work with tight timelines, and a high degree of integrity and trust. Mandatory skills are possessing superb follow-through, being thorough and consistent, and having the ability to organize and coordinate data and programs.

We are a virtual organization and as a remote worker you must be comfortable and able to work 100 per cent of the time from a home office in Canada. To be successful as a remote worker you need to have a self-starter attitude, possess strong organizational and time management skills, and be a proactive communicator. Having a home office environment that provides for a productive, professional, and safe work environment during regular working/business hours is a requirement of this role.


About the Role

  • Work closely with all members of the HR team to provide HR administration support including but not limited to preparing and issuing offer letters to candidates, letters to internal employee for all staffing changes, coding HR related invoices, and coordinating payroll changes.
  • Assist in full cycle recruitment of identified positions including posting positions, scheduling interviews, administering pre-employment assessments, conducting reference and criminal checks.
  • Lead the onboarding process of new hires including arrival preparations, and first-day orientations for new employees. Adapt orientation/onboarding as needed.
  • Assist in performance management process, including updating the performance management system and coordinating probationary reviews.
  • Facilitate offboarding process including communication with employees, managers, IT and payroll.
  • Provide first level support for employee inquiries on benefits, vacation, policies and other HR related questions.
  • Maintain and update HR documentation, templates, and internal intranet pages.
  • Support and coordinate elements for select HR projects.
  • Maintain HR metrics and records relating to recruiting and HR lead initiatives.
  • Other tasks/duties as required by the team.


About You


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Two years of practical human resources experience in a similar position
  • Experience in a professional services organization is an asset
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications. Experience using HR systems is an asset.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing high quality work
  • Proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet deadlines, as well as identify and implement efficiencies
  • Takes initiative with ability to work independently while working as a team player
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to communicate effectively and proactively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Customer service focused
  • Unquestionable discretion and judgment around confidential and sensitive information.
  • Bilingualism is an asset
