The Core Family Health Centre Looking for Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist at London, ON Full Time

Looking for a new member to join our primary care health team! We are looking for a team player who is flexible and keen to help out in a variety of ways including front desk work as well as direct patient care.

We are a modern established family medicine clinic housed in a fully renovated Century home in Central London. We currently have 5 physicians and will be growing to 6 in the near future. We are looking for a friendly, efficient staff person to help support our doctors in providing excellent patient care in a variety of ways. Duties include:

• Covering periods of time at the front desk – answering phone calls, booking appointments, scanning and filing of documents, and other duties typical of a front desk medical office receptionist
• Greeting patients and escorting them to exam rooms
• Preparing patients by taking vital signs (BP, height, weight) – training will be provided
• Performing vaccinations and injections as required – formal training will be offered
• Supporting physicians with patient care by: ensuring appropriate supplies are present; contacting patients in follow up as needed; acting as assistant/chaperone on certain procedures/exams such as Pap tests; and other duties as required from time to time

This position is full-time Mondays to Fridays in a team-based environment to allow for ample support and flexibility as required. Comfort with children and willingness to give childhood and adult vaccinations is an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

All staff and physicians are up-to-date on Covid-19 Vaccinations and the selected applicant is expected to be so as well. Masks are to be worn by patients and staff in patient-care settings and interactions.
