RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
This position will be Monday-Friday, split shift between mornings and afternoons
Assist student in developing social, life and learning skills.
Supervise student in classroom, schoolyard, in the school and on out of school activities.
Observes and documents learner strengths, achievements, needs and behaviours through daily learning activities.
Reviews and reinforces learning activities using lesson plans and learning strategies developed by the learning support team to help students master concepts and skills.
Supports students in learning communication skills and social/emotional strategies as outlined in the IEP or as needed on a daily basis.
Reinforces classroom expectations in a Grade 6 classroom setting
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to accept constructive feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly.
Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with clients, co-workers, and supervisors
Ability to adhere to organizational policies and procedures and abide by code of ethics as indicated by the Behaviour Analyst Certification Board
Commitment to maintain client confidentiality
Commitment to ongoing training and development as it relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities to required standard.
BASIC & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures (kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended periods of time.
Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for extended periods of time.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred: Experience working with children ages 0-16 providing in a classroom or 1:1 setting; experience implementing the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis; Educational, or Speech, experience
EDUCATION:
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related field.

Employment Supervisor: Owner & Operations Manager
Clinical Supervisor: Clinic Supervisor (BCBA)
