The Headhunters Recruitment Looking for Financial Accountant at Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Full Time

We’re looking for a recent CPA with strong technical skills to develop their finance game in an industry leading, global blue-chip manufacturing company.

Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, the Financial Accountant will support monthly financial statement preparation and analysis for the Winnipeg operation. A great opportunity for mentorship and development in a large, complex global company.

Financial Accountant responsibilities:

• Prepare, review and reconcile monthly and quarterly internal financial statements.
• Create reports to provide analysis of actual results from budgets/forecasts.
• Maintain cost accounting structure, review scrap assessment.
• Review processes and internal controls to support ongoing internal audits.
• Communicate with suppliers and internal business partners on AP and AR related inquiries.
• Review and provide fresh ideas to improving accounting tools and processes.
• Review of company pension plan, oversee PST audits.

The successful candidate has:

• 3-5 years of accounting experience including preparing financial statements.
• Experience in the manufacturing sector and exposure to standard costs.
• CPA designation in good standing.
• ERP experience preferably with SAP.
• Strong communication skills and ability to support internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong time managements skills and ability to plan and meet tight reporting deadlines.

Compensation and benefits:

• The discussed salary range is $90,000 – $95,000 with bonus depending on experience.
