As an adjuster, you will be responsible for adjusting to all types of physical and property damage claims. In addition to investigating, assessing, negotiating and settling claims, you will advise customers on available benefits, liability surcharges and merit/discount programs.
Represent Manitoba Public Insurance (MPI) in the handling of insurance claims by providing exceptional customer service. This will include handling physical and property damage claims, including confirming coverage, assessing, negotiating and settling claims.
Discuss benefits, coverage, liability, Driver Safety Rating impacts and claim settlement with customers.
Respond to public inquiries and customer concerns as required.
Communicate with customers, witnesses, third parties and other business partners, in a timely manner, by telephone, written correspondence and in person.
A high school diploma
Two course credits from the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) Program
Three years of office and/or customer service experience.
OR
A diploma in business administration or a related discipline
One year of office and/or customer service experience
Demonstrated oral and written communications skills.
Successful completion of the Associate Adjuster Qualification Test.
Must have a valid 5F driver’s licence.
Must have access to a personal vehicle.
Must be willing and able to travel, as required.
