Your Role:
Review and upload electronic carrier invoices as they are received. This may include EDI, Excel and paper invoices. Convert paper invoices to electronic form where necessary;
Identify and return or repair incorrect invoices. Escalate repeat invoice discrepancies to appropriate Transportation department members;
Assign appropriate general ledger codes to costs where necessary;
Coordinate with Finance to ensure invoices are reviewed and processed in a timely manner.
Ensure submitted invoices match to recorded shipments where available. Create matched shipments where necessary;
Review and approve invoice amounts. Where necessary, adjust cost lines and provide reasons for doing so. Contact invoicing parties to resolve cost line discrepancies;
Track invoice variances and prepare summary reports;
Maintain rates and accessorials in transportation systems as contracts and fuel surcharges are updated; and,
Coordinate as necessary with Finance to update general ledger codes in Transportation systems.
Desired Skills & Experience:
High school diploma or equivalency required;
Previous experience or education in Finance or Transportation considered an asset;
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Word;
Knowledge of Canadian geography, particularly Northern Canada;
Ability to work independently on tight timelines;
Strong written and verbal communication skills;
Must be detail conscious while maintaining a high degree of accuracy; and,
Ability to maintain confidential information;
Location: Winnipeg Logistics Service Centre, 100 Murray Park Road
