The Otta daycare is a licensed Infant and Toddler Childcare located at 1255 Ottaburn Road, West Vancouver, with a capacity of 12 infants and toddlers. All of our curriculum and programming based upon our children’s needs, interests and gifts. Also, we build environments and opportunities for them to safely explore and develop their thoughts and understandings and to express these in any of the hundred languages for children, which include drawing, sculpture, dramatic play, movement, and music.

Job description

• Demonstrates a strong ability to develop strong relationships with children and their families
• Passionate and loves working with young children (10 months to 36 months old)
• Be able to plan and implement group activities that help children develop physically, intellectually, and emotionally
• Demonstrates an ability to offer children a curriculum based on their interests
• Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems
• Be able to take initiative and make productive use of their time
• Demonstrates a constant desire for professional growth and learning in the field of early learning education
• Assess the abilities, interests and needs of children and discuss progress or problems with parents and other staff members
• Maintain an environment that protects the health, security and wellbeing of children
• Be able to work respectfully with other educators

Qualifications:

• Valid Infant and Toddler Educator License
• Valid Childcare First Aid Certificate
• Clear Criminal Record Check
• Medical Clearance to work with children
• 3 references
