- Onboarding for the medical oncology resident program
- Administrative assistance to the Program Director
- Coordinate conferences and events
- Assistance to the residents including scheduling
- Reporting
- Liaising with internal departments and external organizations
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in health care or educational setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with scheduling (meetings, events)
- Experience in project management
- Experience in Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Excellent organizational and management skills
- Ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision
- Demonstrate critical reasoning skills
- Efficient time management
- Knowledge of University and hospital policies and procedures i.e. privacy policy, travel policy, department of medicine code of conduct regarding relationships with industry
- Skills in building and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients
- Knowledge of governing bodies policies and procedures (Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario)
- Superior verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to respond to inquires with diplomacy and sensitivity
- Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment
- Experience with educational planning is considered an asset
- Experience working with pharmaceutical representatives is considered an asset
- Proficiency in English and French – oral expression (advanced level) and comprehension (advanced level)
