The Shaw Group Looking for Electrician Apprentice at Sussex, NB Full Time

We are looking for an APPRENTICE ELECTRICIAN to join our team, at our manufacturing facility in SUSSEX, NEW BRUNSWICK.

STARTING WAGE RATE NEGOTIABLE BASED ON EXPERIENCE.

To support our on-going commitment to quality and value, we are looking for an Electrician to join our team, at our manufacturing facility in Sussex, New Brunswick.

Requirements:

• Read and interpret drawings, circuit diagrams and electrical code specifications to determine wiring layouts for new or existing installations
• Run wires in walls, floors and ceilings
• Install electrical boxes, switches and receptacles
• Install brackets and hangers to support electrical equipment
• Install lighting fixtures and electrical control and distribution equipment
• Splice, join and connect wire to fixtures and components to form circuits
• Test continuity of circuits using test equipment to ensure compatibility and safety of system, following installation, replacement or repair
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical systems and remove and replace faulty components
• Connect electrical power to audio and visual communication equipment, signaling devices and heating and cooling systems
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs and keep maintenance records.

Qualifications:

· Post-secondary education, completion of any block, and/or a licensed Electrician. Consideration will be given to an apprentice electrician;

· Commitment to safety in the workplace, including knowledge and practice of workplace safety procedures.

· Very good knowledge of the current CEC

· Strong trouble-shooting skills

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

· Good organizational and planning skills; ability to prioritize workflow

· Exceptional team skills, including the ability to work with others to develop solutions and implement improvements.
