Work Description
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Human Resources initiatives at the Taggart Group of Companies. Recruiting top talent for our group is integral to our success and requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills and communication skills who will build our talent pipeline, and navigate a high volume recruitment setting. In addition to these duties, the Human Resources Coordinator will support the general administration of the Human Resources department, providing a range of HR services to the Group of Companies.
Major Responsibilities:
Assist in full-cycle recruitment efforts, including screening, interviewing, conducting reference checks, preparing employment agreements and participating in onboarding efforts for entry-level positions, including student roles
Provide administrative support to the Human Resources team, including data entry, scanning, filing, maintaining records and other miscellaneous tasks as required
HRIS set up of new employees, from preparing new hire packets, and recording assets to ensuring file is complete and detailed to offboarding requirements, as necessary.
Monitor and track data and records as required, including training information, deadlines and tasks
Regularly attend networking events, career fairs, and build brand awareness for the Taggart Group as an employer of choice. Build connections in the construction / real estate industry to become familiar with top talent
Plan, coordinate and execute logistics for company events
Assist with procurement, following up with vendors and packaging items for staff and employee functions
Assist in tracking information and coordinating details for employee events such as training seminars, holiday parties, summer employee appreciation event or corporate retreats. Contact venues, coordinate bookings as requested by manager
Assist in the completion of compliance reports by gathering information from various companies and providing to the department
Provide reception coverage when required
Other related and miscellaneous administrative tasks in support of the HR function.
Any other duties as required
Statement of Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, general arts, Business administration or other related program is required.
Prior experience working in an administrative role is required with a minimum of 1year experience. Experience in human resources would be considered an asset.
Strong verbal, and written communication skills in English are required. Documents need to be detailed, thorough, and clear to the audience.
Strong attention to detail imperative.
A high degree of professionalism and confidentiality are required in this role.
Physical/Sensory Effort/ Work Environment
Busy, and at times, a loud work environment with an open concept workspace.
In person work, with some flexibility to work remotely, however, the majority of the time is spent in person, in the office setting.
Providing service to several people or departments, working under many simultaneous deadlines, working for a group of companies working on various sites and locations.
High volume recruitment.
