The Training Centre Looking for Programs and Transportation Coordinator at Sutton West, ON Full Time

The Training Centre is seeking a flexible, motivated Coordinator, Programs & Transportation Services to join its team on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Program Coordination

• Coordinate programs, including responding to community inquiries, conducting applicant interviews and screening, and facilitating participant registration, promoting programs, in collaboration with the Research & Communications Specialist.
• Coordinate participant recruitment to market program and recruit suitable candidates by visiting secondary schools, employment centers, employers, etc.
• Coordinate program logistics.
• Provide career and employment counselling.
• Collaborate with the completion and submission of interim and final course evaluations.
• Collaborate with the preparation of course reports and recommendations.
• Provide input on program planning & coordination.
• Coordinate instructors and plan program scheduling.

Transportation Coordination

• Work with partnering agencies and community members to facilitate charters and transportation needs.
• Promote The Training Centre’s transportation services to community agencies and other organizations to facilitate business development.
• Coordinate community charter transportation needs, develop quotes, draft contracts/invoices and ensure receipt of payments.
• Develop transportation routes for drivers.
• Coordinate bus driver schedules in accordance with Ministry of Transportation regulations.
• Coordinate repairs and regular safety inspections for all buses in accordance with Ministry of Transportation regulations.
• Monitor and record driver safety checks, regular bus maintenance and cleanliness of the buses.

Administrative Services

• Perform general office duties such as maintaining records, management database systems, as assigned.
• Assist with the preparation of course outlines/materials, reports, memos, correspondence, presentations, graduation materials, letters and other documents.

Qualifications

• College diploma in a related course of study.
• Two (2) years related experience in a related area of professional practice, including adult education, communications, business administration, community relations or similar.
• Prior experience in a not-for-profit organization is an asset.

Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

• Very good technical proficiency with the Microsoft suite of software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), internet research platforms, social media and website content update tools.
• Very good interpersonal and communication (written, verbal, listening) skills.
• Very good organizational, planning, time management skills.
• Very good relationship management skills.
• Very good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Valid Class ‘B’ (permitted to drive any school purposes bus) license and/or Class ‘F’ (permitted to drive any regular bus with a maximum of 24-passenger capacity) license is an asset.

The Programs & Transportation Coordinator will be provided with Personal Protective Equipment and safety equuipment necessary to perfornn job functions. Additionally, health and safety and WHMIS training will be provided.
