Position Overview
The Payroll Department in Finance is currently seeking a Full-time Regular Payroll Specialist.
The Payroll Department’s primary role is to pay employees accurately and on time and according to legislation. The work is performed within a strong team environment, using in-house software with the stresses of simultaneous deadlines to meet all direct and indirect payroll processing requirements for over 10,000 employees and students.
The Payroll Specialist position, reporting to the Payroll Manager is a permanent full-time position with the primary focus on the operations of the day to day payroll application in a high volume, highly specialized and complex area that requires thorough attention to detail as the impact of errors is high.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide day to day payroll administration functions supporting the accuracy and compliance of timely payments to employees and students. This position has to be aware of the direct connection and impact from the time module in PeopleSoft and the payroll module as it relates to the impact of the calculation of net pay.
