Research Accounting is currently seeking 2 Full-time Regular Senior Financial Analysts.
Research Accounting, a department within the Finance portfolio, is responsible for the post-award financial administration of sponsored research and restricted funds at the University.
The Senior Financial Analyst, Research Accounting reports to the Associate Director, Research Accounting. The Senior Financial Analyst plays an important role in the delivery of Research Accounting support to stakeholders across campus and to external funders. The position requires an individual who can be flexible in managing shifting priorities, as the department operates in a highly complex environment with multiple and competing deadlines. The incumbent must be able to act independently and solve complex business issues while demonstrating the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the institution and with external stakeholders. The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to build and maintain data analytics for both financial and non-financial KPIs for management’s use.
There is a high impact of errors as inaccurate advice or information could have serious consequences to project holders and to the reputation of the University. This position interacts frequently with both internal and external stakeholders. Professional judgment in reviewing own work and the work of team members is required. The ability to coach and mentor other staff is expected, and this position provides technical accounting guidance to other Research Accounting staff.
