Position Overview
The Recruitment team within Student and Enrolment Services is currently seeking a Full-time Limited Term Student Recruitment Advisor, Prospective Student Events for approximately 14-15 months.
Reporting to the Assistant Registrar, Student Recruitment and Applicant Relations, the Student Recruitment Advisor, Prospective Student Events supports the Recruitment team by delivering a suite of premier online, on-campus, and off-campus events to enhance the strategic enrolment initiatives of undergraduate student recruitment.
The Student Recruitment Advisor, Prospective Student Events promotes and delivers on- and off- campus recruitment events in support of strategic enrolment objectives as a key member of the Undergraduate Recruitment Team. Examples of such events include Open House, You at UCalgary, off campus Meet and Greet events, Application Workshops, and other outreach events in communities in and outside of the Calgary area to coordinate the campus tours program for prospective undergraduate students. These events are well established with a comprehensive checklist for planning.
The Student Recruitment Advisor, Prospective Student Events collaborates with the Assistant Registrar, Student Recruitment and Applicant Relations, senior leadership including the Associate Registrar of Admissions and Recruitment, the Registrar, faculty representatives, and other Student and Enrolment Services colleagues to solve complex issues such as logistics, a substantial budget, and ensuring that the University of Calgary’s undergraduate recruitment goals are met through targeted recruitment events and the campus visits program.
The Student Recruitment Advisor, Prospective Student Events makes informed recommendations so that campus events focus on the student experience and influence prospective students and their key influencers to place the University of Calgary as their top choice. This is accomplished via faculty interaction, special events, campus tours, personal connections with students and community, and various communication tools.
