Theo Vandenberk Construction Inc. Looking for Working Foreman/woman at Thorndale, ON Full Time

Responsibilities:

· Delegate work to employees daily and maintain employee workflow.

· Supervise job site and crew activity following direction from the Project Manager.

· Assist employees with general construction tasks.

· Ensure all employees are working in accordance with company safe work policies and procedures.

· Promote, support and facilitate teamwork.

· Maintain an organized clean work environment.

· Converse with site inspector in person or on the phone.

· Ensure materials, equipment and labour are utilized most efficiently and effectively.

· Resolve all site-related problems and work to improve worksite efficiency.

· Consult job blueprints for layout and preparation of tasks.

· Accountable for completion of assignments that meet company standards.

· Maintain timesheets for all crew members.

Requirements:

· Consistent punctuality and reliability.

· Must have a good work ethic.

· Excellent communications skills; must speak, read and write English.

· Must possess a valid driver’s license and have transportation to and from company’s shop.

· Knowledge of concrete construction, concrete finishing, reinforcing steel and formwork systems.

· Ability to learn quickly construction techniques frequently used by company.

· Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints.

· Is committed to doing quality work the first time with little or no need for re-work.

· Minimum of 1 to 3 years previous Foreman experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 10 months

Salary: $35.00-$37.00 per hour
