Location: This position supports the Mid-Atlantic Territory. Ideal candidate can reside in PA, WV, VA, DE, DC, KY.
This role supports the Transplant Diagnostics Division, One Lambda, as part of the Specialty Diagnostics Group at Thermo Fisher Scientific. We are focused on increasing access to innovative diagnostic testing solutions to support our mission of making the world cleaner, healthier, safer.

How will you make an impact?
The Transplant Diagnostics Regional Field Application Scientist will be responsible for supporting growth in our division for both existing and prospect accounts in various HLA laboratories within the assigned regional geography. The successful candidate will have HLA experience and will be responsible for pre/post-sales support, customer implementation, KOL development, internal/external training, among other business objectives.
What will you do?
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support and application assistance in response to customer inquiries.
Prepare and present technical and training materials for use with existing and new customers.
Technical resource to the sales team to close new business, discuss territory needs and develop strategic account plans to meet financial commitments.
Customer advocate for timely resolution to customer escalations. Acts as ‘Voice of Customer’ and provide valuable feedback to departments such as Technical Support, R&D, and Marketing.
Communicates and documents product complains to Technical Support and collaborate towards a resolution.
Collaborates with multi-disciplinary matrixed team including Technical Support, Regional Account Managers, Product Management, Software Engineers, Marketing and more, to provide seamless service and ensure positive customer experience.
Develops KOL base across assigned regions. Conducts technical seminars and presentations virtually/at customer sites, trade-shows and workshops to drive KOL adoption.
Carries out duties in compliance with established business practices. Demonstrates a high level of ethics and professionalism with internal and external customers.
Completes all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time.
Travels as required within 50%, or as needed.
Occasional lifting of office and/or laboratory equipment up to 50 lbs.

Education and Experience
OR
A minimum of 3 years of work experience in an HLA or Molecular Laboratory Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of a clinical lab setting and good lab practices.
Knowledge of core customer segments with experience with customer workflow/processes. Understanding of trends in the diagnostics markets, with knowledge of competitive landscape.
Ability to excel in building and managing relationships which positively influence business growth.
Strong presentation skills with ability to explain complex concepts in a clear manner. Proven ability to resolve conflict and propose/implement corrective actions in a timely manner.
Excellent observation, analytical, problem solving and learning abilities, focused on providing exceptional customer solutions.
Strong interpersonal, selling, negotiation, and communication skills including oral and written skills.
Results-driven self-starter, able to work independently and willing to travel.
Effective collaboration in a highly matrixed organization.
Proficient record keeping and attention to detail required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Proficient using SalesForce CRM is a plus.
Ability to uphold and support individual goals and company values.
Demonstrates professionalism and positivity during internally and externally.
