As part of a global team, the SAP Senior Manager will be responsible for providing design and oversight with SAP expertise in support of project work as well as day-to-day activities of the business.
The SAP Senior Manager, with the rest of the SAP team, will be accountable for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of business processes supported by the SAP system.
Requirements for this role will include estimation of time and effort to deliver enhancements for the SAP S/4 HANA instance. The role will require coordination and cooperation with colleagues and business partners locally, onshore at other sites and offshore.
The SAP Senior Manager will work closely with other IT (Information Technology) team members across the globe, to ensure that high quality solutions and enhancements are delivered in a cost-effective manner, with minimal disruption to business activities, leveraging the global resource pool, to ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) for service delivery are met.
The SAP Senior Manager will be a member of the team to deliver excellence in results on a day-to-day basis. This will be across our SAP landscape (including ECC6.0, S4 HANA) and extends from functional to security, basis, and ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) support as well as provide ERP (Enterprise and Resource Planning) (Enterprise and Resource Planning) (Enterprise and Resource Planning) (Enterprise and Resource Planning) (Enterprise and Resource Planning) change management oversight. Ensuring change management is effectively planned and managed and that stakeholder engagement, communication, and required training is effectively executed.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Skills:
Deep expertise in SAP, preferably in a pharmaceuticals or life sciences environment.
Broad general SAP knowledge and the ability and willingness to work outside of core expertise
Experience on S/4 HANA
Prepare high quality functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements
Manage unit and integration testing of enhancements and patches, including creating the documentation, running, and documenting unit tests and supporting end-users performing UAT (User Acceptance Test).
Coordinate with development team, monitoring the progress of development activities and communicating status to management and relevant departments
Work to develop and support Super Users within the business
Exposure to Service Now would be ideal but overall experience using support systems as a service provider will be helpful (service requests, incident, and change management process).

Demonstrable experience operating effectively in a highly regulated business
Management and accountability for the achievement of all metrics (SLAs)
On time delivery of functional aspects of enhancement and project assessment requests and blueprinting
Quality of delivery of all functional aspects of enhancements and projects
Efficient delivery and support of incident/break/fix and general production support
Provide leadership and guidance for PSG (Pharma Services Group) Transformation Strategy (ECC/6–>S/4)
The ability to focus on business requirements before configuration and configuration before development.
Effectively manage relationships with internal business partners whether face-to-face or remote
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
Ability to work in an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture with clear team goals
Clearly understand and interpret business requirements, describe options for resolution, and recommend an optimal solution
Help develop and lead training sessions and workshops
Perform well within a geographically distributed team, providing feedback or seeking support where necessary.
Prioritize and communicate work in process to effectively manage workload
How will you get here?
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Business Management, Project Management, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience acceptable
7 years of ERP project execution and/or support experience
Experience leading strategic SAP programs
Ability to work effectively within a matrix organization, with multiple business partners and IT colleagues, locally and remotely
Proven ability to creatively solve problems in a complex business environment
Ability to set expectations, explain and champion detailed technical concepts to peers, management, and business partners
A proactive approach to problem solving with the ability to identify and mitigate risks before they become issues
Demonstrable experience using technology to work effectively with multiple groups around the globe
Strong negotiation/persuasion and analytical skills
