Position Overview:

Our client is one of the largest owners and operators of critical global infrastructure networks that facilitate the movement and storage of energy, water, freight, passengers, and data. They are one of the few pure play, publicly traded, global infrastructure vehicles that invests in premier infrastructure assets with stable cash flows, high margins and strong growth prospects.

Reporting to the SVP, this role will oversee the treasury operations and strategy for all public, private and co-investments funds and vehicles. Leading an experienced team, the VP will be charged with ensuring the delivery of the day-to-day treasury functions and will act as a strategic partner to the business. This position will engage in the capital optimization, liquidity strategy and management necessary for the growth of a complex and growing platform.

This is an ideal role for a seasoned treasury or finance leader with experience thinking outside the box and making long-term strategic enhancements to an existing and well-run function. The ability to work within a large, complex environment in a highly visible role is essential here, as the VP will lead decision-making and have touchpoints across all business functions (i.e. capital markets, fund, tax, legal teams).

Role Responsibilities:

• Strengthen the treasury team’s strategic leadership by being an influencer & partnering across a complex/large organization to add value to the business.
• Manage the cash and short-term liquidity, including enhancing cash flow forecasting models for actively monitoring balances and optimizing working capital.
• Act as a key contributor in liquidity forecasting for major capital events, operating requirements and distributions to investors and unit holders.
• Provide daily cash position and liquidity snapshots, including analyzing the movement of funds and providing feedback on the timing of payments and flow of funds.
• Liaise with Tax, Legal and Finance teams in preparation and execution of funds flow steps.
• Oversee all the credit facilities, commercial paper and deposits, including cash forecasting, tracking credit facility activities (draws, maturities, repayments, interest payments), and compliance.
• Monitor and execute foreign exchange hedge settlements.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships and consistent communication with banks, financial institutions and key internal business partners.
• Serve as the primary liaison with financial institutions; responsible for investigating and resolving any payment failures or discrepancies.
• Document and update Treasury Policies and Procedures as necessary.
• Ongoing monitoring and enhancement of internal controls surrounding cash management activities.
• Ongoing innovation and focus on automation initiatives with respect to advanced payment and reporting capabilities.
• Deliver on ad-hoc requests from senior management and other stakeholders.
• Opportunity to grow into additional accountability over financial risk management activities.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field with at least 7+ years of work experience directly in a Treasury or Cash Management function or in a finance role with treasury involvement or oversight.
• Experience working in large & complex companies with a high level of capital movement and needed liquidity forecasting and optimization.
• Previous experience with fund flow steps and complex tax structures is preferred but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Superior communication skills (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
• Organized, efficient, proactive and can meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with FIS Quantum and Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset.
• CTP and/or CPA designation is an asset.
