Reporting to the SVP, Supply Chain, Giant Tiger is looking to hire a Head of Forecasting and Replenishment! The Head of Forecasting and Replenishment will be responsible for ensuring product is positioned properly at our distribution centres; ensuring product availability to our Stores and minimizing excess inventory and execution costs.

Head of Forecasting and Replenishment, Job Responsibilities

Optimize use and benefit of F&R technology (Relex) to maximize in stock at distribution centres and stores with appropriate inventory levels;

Develop processes to collaborate with vendors on the forecast for replenishable product to minimize supply interruption. Proactively develop alternate plans when necessary;

Seek opportunities to improve processes to create Purchase Orders; including staggering inbound flow, challenging constraints in leadtime, channel of distribution or minimum order quantities and orchestrating policies to improve the balance of service, cost and capacity.

Develop processes to proactively identify, track, communicate and mitigate the impact of issues from the vendor or inbound transportation that impact the timely delivery of goods to meet the target dates;

Develop processes to ensure inventory position in the distribution centres are appropriate and correct, including clearance of inventory as needed.

Head of Forecasting and Replenishment, Key Qualifications

5 – 10 years in retail Supply Chain;

Leadership experience overseeing Forecasting and Replenishment;

Postsecondary education in Engineering, Business, Mathematics, Operations Management or equivalent;

Ability to quickly identify, interpret and leverage critical performance indicators from multiple sources;

Proven success at building powerful cross-functional relationships;

Solution and results-oriented thinker with strong listening skills;

Retail financial acumen;

Change champion; strong coaching and delegation skills;

Experience with F&R Software; Relex is an asset;

Bilingual English and French is a strong asset;
