Tim Hortons® Foundation Camps (THFC) help youth from underserved communities achieve their full potential through multi-day, overnight camp experiences. Whether at camp or back home in their communities between visits—our youth work to build social, emotional, leadership and innovation skills and behaviours like volunteerism and motivation to learn so they become civically and academically engaged, and successfully transition to adulthood.

Contract: May 2023 – August 2023
Work Location
This role is based out of the Foundation’s Home Office in St. George, Ontario, also home to one of our seven camps – Tim Horton Onondaga Farms (THOF). The site contains over 400 acres of picturesque farmland, surrounded by rolling hills and protected wetlands.
What would you be doing?
- Updating and inputting employee data into our internal databases as per Tims Camps guidelines.
- Follow-up on all necessary paperwork to support bi-weekly payroll processing including but, not limited to new hire documents.
- Monitoring and responding to centralized HR email accounts as per established guidelines.
- Support recruitment efforts by completing tasks such as:
- Scheduling and confirm interviews with candidates.
- Screening resumes
- Post, update and remove job ads from job boards, careers pages and social networks.
- Updating recruitment related metric reports.
- Pulling reports on a prescribed frequency from applicant tracking system.
- Prepare HR-related reports as needed
- Support with the gathering of market salary information
- Provide back-up support to front-line reception to the Home Office as well as live-answering phones.
- Invoice coding and expense tracking as assigned.
- Support with the creation of HR related training materials and/or presentations.
Does this sound like you?
- Recently completed or, currently pursuing post-secondary education in the field of HR or, Administration or, equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with HRIS, ATS and resume databases.
- Strong skills related to MS Office: PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word and Teams.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail in managing work and competing deadlines.
- Good oral and written communication skills (English).
- Bilingual in French/English considered an asset.
- Experience providing exemplary customer service and maintaining confidentiality.
- Resourceful team player with an ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to submit an acceptable Criminal Record Search.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
