Purpose Of Position
This position is responsible for the overall development, implementation and coordination of providing programs and services for Learning on the Land for the Tk̓emlúps te Secwépemc community members. the candidate will teach the language on field trips with band members for On the Land Learning activities, such as, but not limited to, hunting, fishing, harvesting, and teaching the legends that correspond to landmarks, The candidate must have the passion and commitment to ensure the perpetuation, promotion and revitalization of Secwepemctsín is implemented through the 2023 Language and Culture Strategic. The candidate will help to increase the number of TteS speakers by teaching culture through Learning on the Land Programs and Services.
Duties And Responsibilities
Overseeing the coordination, facilitation, creation, and implementation of language educational programs as identified by the Tk’emlúps te Secwépemc (TteS) for Secwepemctsín, with a focus on the dialect of the TteS. (95%)

HOURS OF WORK: Normal Day shifts – 7 hours. Non-normal shifts may be required.
PAY GRADE: Starting at $25.98-$28.70 depending on education & experience.
