About the opportunity
TLC Solutions is seeking a talented Accounts Receivable Coordinator to join our team. This is a new role at TLC Solutions taking on invoicing, customer inquiries, bank deposits, statements, collections and other accounting support. This position reports to the Director of Finance and works 40 hours Monday to Friday and is a 6-month contract position with the potential for an extension at the end of the contract. This position is located at the Langley office but has the potential for hybrid working from home depending on candidate experience and preference.
The Accounts Receivable Coordinator will own all accounts receivable activities including, but not limited to:
Invoicing, AR, and Collections – Reconciling Autotask (invoicing software) to Xero to ensure all invoices are captured, coordinating with operations and inside sales to ensure all recurring and one-off deals are invoiced accurately and in a timely manner, receiving cheques and processing bank deposits, collecting and applying payments to customer accounts, following up on past due accounts.
Customer Inquiries – respond to customer questions and billing inquiries and provide invoice copies, statements and other information as requested.
Bank reconciliation – Daily & weekly bank reconciliation, importing bank statements when necessary, matching payments with invoices/bills, and investigating unmatched line items.
Documentation – Ensuring all accounting procedures, controls, and systems are clearly documented and maintained.
Participation in department-level meetings and events.
Participation in company-level events, initiatives, meetings, and other programs as requested.
Qualifications and experience
Legally allowed to work in Canada. Able to work from the Langley office as needed.
Exceptional, professional, written and verbal, in-person and virtual, communication skills
One to Three years or more of accounts receivable experience
Accounting-related education: certificate, diploma, degree, and/or designation
Excellent work ethic, energetic self-starter, with a positive collaborative approach
Proactive hands-on, roll up your sleeves and do whatever it takes to get the job done attitude, excellent problem-solving abilities
Proficient in MS Office and experience with Xero or other cloud-based accounting software
Curious mindset, always wanting to understand and learn more
Bonus points for:
Experience in the IT industry
Experience with Xero, Hubdoc, Autotask, Microsoft Office suite, Monday.com
