Tom’s RV Service and Supplies is looking for skilled people for our growing service department. If you are a looking for a change, or know a little bit about everything—electrical, plumbing, carpentry, flooring, mechanical, brakes, bearings, suspension, oil changes etc. we are looking for you! To get started you do not need specific RV experience, but you do need to be handy, dedicated, responsible and professional. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Skilled Labourer faces new challenges every day and must take pride in their work.
The following is part of the position:
- Assisting RV Technicians
- Operation of various power & air tools as required such as saws, sanders, drills, etc.
- Manual labor including shoveling, sweeping, etc.
- Complementary Inspections
- Roof & exterior seam caulking
- Winterizing / de-winterizing
- Washing & Detailing the RV
- Cleaning, maintaining & sorting the shop and yard
- Moving and assisting RV units around parking and yard area
- Able to work within the team or as an individual as well
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KEY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Good communication, organizational and learning skills
- Great mechanical, electrical skills
- Ability to upgrade and learn new skills as technology advances
- Self motivated and great team member
- Pride in workmanship and the desire to deliver a superior result, and truly WOW Tom’s RV customers
- Commitment to safety and maintaining safe working conditions
- Must be able to sit, stand, stoop, bend, climb, lift, and carry objects up to 25 kgs, and able work at awkward angles
- Drivers License
EMPLOYER PAID BENEFITS
Experience in carpentry, plumbing, welding, 12v electrical & mechanical would be considered an asset.
We are willing to train a reliable candidate with a great attitude and the willingness to learn.
This position could also lead to an apprenticeship to become an RV Technician.
