Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust Looking for Nursing and Midwifery – Return to Practice at Torbay, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada Full Time

Are you a former Midwife or Registered Nurse, who is looking to return to practice and re-join the professional register? If your answer is Yes, then Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust is offering an exciting employment opportunity for you to undertake a Return to Practice Programme, in collaboration with the University of Plymouth.

Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and passionate Midwives and Nurses with a lapsed registration.

We currently have vacancies for Return to Practice Midwives and Registered Nurses within the Trust, and are particularly keen to hear from Midwives, and Nurses with an interest or background in Cancer Nursing (haematology/oncology) and systematic anti-cancer therapy (SACT) – although applications from all backgrounds are encouraged.

Please note the return to practice pathway can be offered as either an Honorary contract or as Bank work.

• Communicate effectively with colleagues across the MDT, providing clear verbal, digital or written information and instructions
• Communicate effectively across a range of channels and with a wide range of individuals, the public, health and social care professionals, maintaining the focus of communication on delivering and improving health and care services
• Contribute to ongoing patient/ service user assessment under delegation from a Registered Nurse or Midwife , recognising when it is necessary to refer to others for reassessment
• Follow treatment plans determined by the Registered Nurse, Midwife or registered care professional
• Identify risks to safety or experience and take appropriate action, putting the best interests, needs and preferences of people first.
