Currently we are hiring two (2) vacancies for the following portfolios:
Supervisor Special Events – Event Support, 1 vacancy for 24 months:
Reporting to the Event Support Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for implementing the vision and strategies for both the Event Support unit and Economic Development & Culture Division, supporting, assisting, consulting, and facilitating the City of Toronto Special Events and Festivals community and event organizers. This includes but is not limited to the co-ordination of festival and event resource materials, workshops, seminars work, and the event facilitation, governance, permitting of Nathan Phillips Square, consultation and project management of external organizers presenting signature events.
Supervisor Special Events – Production, 1 Vacancy For 12 Months
Reporting to the Production Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for developing technical specifications and subsequent procurement of all technical requirements, designing, directing, and implementing production strategies for City Cultural Events’ existing portfolio. This includes but is not limited to the preparation and co-ordination of event logistics and documentation (site inspections and assessments, site plans, production schedules and technical co-ordination) and the co-ordination and implementation of safety and security, crowd control and insurance.
