Job Description:
Our client’s Project Services department is responsible for delivering a wide range of IT infrastructure projects for the Health Authorities of British Columbia.
Reporting to the Provincial Manager, Network Services, the Intermediate Network Analyst will work on projects to upgrade network equipment in acute hospital communication rooms within the Lower Mainland.
The successful consultant will require an understanding of network protocols and configuration ability (Cisco, HPE). On top of providing site support this consultant will support the core team in the implementation of complex and technical projects spanning the entire organization.
This role is a 6 month contract to start with potential for extension. The resource for this position must be located in the Lower Mainland area.
Specific qualifications:
- 3+ years of network equipment implementation experience, site assessments and planning, application of network standards and various network issue problem solving/troubleshooting as required
- 3+ years of data networking experience
- Vendor network certifications – Cisco and HPE
Specific experience required:
- Experience replacing edge switches and core switches (ex. migration of settings from legacy to new)
- Experience coordinating with vendors (ideally, having experience coordinating with vendors to decommission legacy Metro Circuits).
Assets
- Experience replacing legacy Metro Circuits with CE (Customer Edge) Circuits
