We are currently seeking wellness-obsessed individuals to join our team as part-time Personal Trainers. As a Personal Trainer with Touchmark, you will enrich lives each day by assisting, monitoring, and instructing residents in the safe and effective use of equipment and weight machines in order to meet their personal fitness goals and needs. You will also conduct fitness consultations and assessments in order to help develop individualized fitness programs that ensure resident safety and follow each resident’s care plan. Experience in a consultative sales environment is a must – you’ll be conducting club tours for potential members, residents, and guests, and explaining the benefits of membership in order to build our client base.

All programs are tailored to individual levels of ability, skill, and personal fitness goals. A long list of amenities is also offered, a group exercise studio, one-on-one personal training, and fully equipped fitness studio.

Ideal Candidates Will Have

• Have a commitment to Touchmark’s values (hospitality, compassion, excellence, teamwork, and integrity), as well as a desire to model these values and to encourage others to be allies, friends, and givers.
• A bachelor’s degree in an exercise science-related discipline.
• At least five years’ experience working as a Certified Personal Trainer or Exercise Physiologist.
• At least five years’ experience working with a mature population.
• Experience instructing group exercise classes in the format their certification is in
• A positive, upbeat, and energetic approach to health, wellness, teamwork, and hospitality
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.

Education/Licensing/Experience Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or similar field.
• Current Personal Training Certificate through an accredited association.
• Preference given to those with CPR, First Aid, with AED Certified.
• Criminal record check required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a certified trainer while working with mature client group.
• Current group exercise certification preferred.
• Certification from at least one professional organization in senior fitness personal training.
• Experience with fitness programming for older adults.
