Position Purpose
Responsible for providing engineering and technical support with respect to the design, construction, operation, maintenance and rehabilitation of various types of infrastructure within the Department. This includes assets associated with roads infrastructure, water distribution, wastewater collection, storm water collection and storm water management. Minimum Qualifications
Post-secondary diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related discipline
Member of the Ontario Association of certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists; or registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with the Professional Engineers of Ontario considered an asset
Minimum 2 years as a civil technologist/technician or related discipline with experience in the design and construction of municipal infrastructure
Experience with computer assisted design (CAD) systems for design of municipal infrastructure
Experience using geographic information systems (GIS), work management and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), asset management software, and documents management systems
