Day Camp Counsellor
The Town of Tecumseh is accepting resumes for the following student employment positions for the Summer of 2024 in the Community & Recreation Services Department.
Job Summary
Reporting to the Day Camp Coordinator, Day Camp Counsellors are responsible for planning, implementing and supervising various recreation experiences for children ages 5 to 12 years.
Qualifications And Requirements
The successful applicants must be at least 16 years of age and currently enrolled in a secondary or post-secondary institution with an interest in recreation or childcare field. The successful applicant must have previous experience in recreation programs and/or programs with children, creativity in program planning and strong oral communication. Candidates must possess or obtain Standard First Aid with CPR-C, Automatic External Defibrillator and HIGH FIVE certification prior to their start date. Knowledge of Town of Tecumseh Health and Safety policies and procedures and WHMIS is considered an asset. Preference will be given to candidates with experience working with children, or related education courses in childhood development.

Salary
The Town offers an hourly salary of $17.62 (2024) for this position.
