Job Summary:

Toyota Canada Inc. currently has an exciting opportunity for a self-starter and a quick learner to support our Finance and Accounting team. This is a full-time opportunity and will report to the Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis. The selected candidate will assist business divisions with forward looking financial analysis to enable decision making in support of profitable growth.

What You’ll be Doing:

Functional Responsibilities:

• Hands-on management of monthly financial close activities for assigned business units including preparation of appropriate accruals and financial analysis to ensure recording and reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Month-end activities including journal entries, accrual preparation, and variance analysis
• Drive monthly financial review meetings with all assigned business units
• Partner with business units to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts relevant to activities in their areas
• Upload and analyze budget & forecast submissions to ensure reasonableness and alignment of requests with overall corporate objectives
• Identify risks and opportunities to the budget/forecast for assigned business units
• Perform ad hoc financial analyses to provide a perspective on financial impact for special projects and make recommendations to Senior Management (e.g., Hoshin or Capital projects, cash flow analysis)
• Identify and proactively act on opportunities to continuously improve internal processes such as developing and/or refining working templates/model, reports and developing standard operating procedures
• Educate business units on the use of reporting tools and finance concepts
• Provide year end audit support in relation to accounting for assigned business units

• Ability to work with minimum supervision and understand role in relation to broad organization objectives and business issues
