Trans-Ontario Express is looking for a highly motivated and Friendly and energetic Senior Logistic Coordinator. We are a rapidly growing asset-based logistics provider, dedicated to delivering client-centric supply chain solutions across North America. Job Duties:
* Perform planning and booking of customer and load broker orders using our proprietary software, and industry load boards.
* Ensure full utilization of available fleet and equipment.
* Communicate well with department team members.
* Monitor tendered business in, and also determine acceptance or declining of orders, and process accordingly using the EDI process in the TMS.
* Communicate workload shortage which will impact full utilization of resources to the team and Operations Manager.
* Solicit, negotiate, and acquire spot market opportunities with load brokers using Loadlink software provided by the company.
* Ensure profitability when planning and coordinating trip plans using TMS, PC Miler and other related tools to determine rate per mile.
* Ensure trip plans are compliant with HOS regulations.
* Maintain a positive relationship with outside suppliers and clients.
* Ensuring the loading of transportation units are scheduled and executed as planned.
* Assisting drivers, and Operations Manager in troubleshooting and resolving day-to- day issues that may arise.
* Monitoring service levels to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
* Track key metrics including miles, revenue per mile, margin per mile.
* Other related duties as assigned by the operations Manager.
Qualifications:
* 1-2 years of experience in in Logistics Planning and 2+ years in a dispatch role within transportation industry.
* Good understanding of the technical process of supply chains.
* Strong and effective communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication.
* Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* Able to multitask and prioritize workload.
* Proficient in project management and organizational skills
* Strong knowledge of Hours-of-Service regulations.
* Good knowledge of truck routing, lanes and North American geography.
* Highly proficient in transportation and related software applications & Microsoft Office.
* Transportation Management Software.
* Mileage and routing software (PC Miler).
* Satellite tracking software.
* Detail oriented with solid investigative skills.
* Team mindset mentality.
* Understanding of Transportation regulations and rules.
* Post secondary education in logistics, supply chain, demand planning or equivalent experience.
