Counterbalance Forklift Operator with experience
We are currently seeking highly-motivated Counter balance Forklift Operators to support the operational needs of our business.
Applicant must have forklifting experience in order to be considered for this position.
Shifts:
- Morning
- Full-time 8 hrs. day shift ( Monday to Friday and Tuesday to Saturday)
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for accurately and efficiently picking various orders throughout the warehouse and yard as needed.
- Inspect all items for defects or damages.
- Identify all products and locations by using item #s, pack size and descriptions to ensure product is moved to correct location.
- Prep the product for shipments.
- Daily loading/unloading of product from trucks, rail cars and containers
- Safely operate a counterbalance forklift in a fast-paced environment.
- Responsible for general housekeeping.
Requirements include
- Detail oriented and able to maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Able to work in a variety of environments.
- Able to follow and understand verbal and written directions.
- Must meet productivity goals after a training period.
- Forklift experience and certification is required.
- Prior experience in forest products (OSB, Plywood, pulp and Lumber) warehousing is an asset.
- Reliable transportation is required as there is limited bus service in the area.
