Position Overview:

The Student Support Advisor handles inquiries online and in person, guides students to the right resources and ensure effective communication. This role presents an opportunity to significantly impact the student experience and contribute to the success of our academic community by participating in events, collaborating across teams and departments, and establishing effective communication channels.

Work Schedule:

On Campus from Tuesday – Saturday, 1:00 – 10:00 pm.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming student inquiries through email, telephone, and in-person, with a continuous focus on improving communication standards.
• Coordinate and optimize student traffic on campus.
• Streamline communication processes and strategies to address high volumes of student inquiries promptly.
• Maintain a well-organized database with detailed records of student communication history.
• Understand the student journey from pre-enrollment to graduation and organizational charts, policies, and procedures to provide students with efficient and accurate responses.
• Guide students to the right stakeholders when needed.
• Collaborate with the Student Support and Experience team and other departments to establish effective communication.
• Identify, resolve, and proactively address concerns, issues, and potential conflicts of interest.
• Assist in creating and producing materials for new students, including orientations, schedules, guides, etc.
• Handle additional administrative tasks and contribute to special communications projects as assigned.
• Participate in webinars, events, Q&As, and info sessions, both in-person and online.
• Collaborate in planning, organizing, and facilitating Student Support and Experience events and initiatives.
• Perform any other assigned responsibilities.

Education and Experience:

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least two (2) years of experience in administration, event management, student services, or customer care.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong communication skills.
• Well-organized and detail-oriented.
• Able to multitask, adapt, set priorities, meet deadlines, and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated capacity to take initiative, collaborate within a team, and work independently.
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
