We are currently seeking an ambitious, methodical, and customer-centric Construction Site Forman to join our growing team.

The Site Forman is responsible for the overall project planning, execution and monitoring including managing schedules, scopes, costs, and quality to achieve project expectations.

KEY RESONSIBILITIES

• Assist where necessary in the estimating process.
• Coordinate the front-end project deliverables during contract negotiations.
• Direct and oversee transfer and conversion of IFC drawings into erection and shop fabrication drawings including project close-out documentation.
• Develop project plans and approvals of project deliverables.
• Collaborate and coordinate with team members to ensure that all parties are meeting objectives to ensure positive project outcomes.
• Oversee the coordination of shop fabrication scheduling, logistics and of site installation crews.
• Perform take-offs and obtain accurate information to procure material and subcontractor pricing pertaining to site instructions and change notices.
• Identify critical path in-order to ensure that budgetary and timeline objectives are maintained.
• Communicate risks, issues, and plans of action with key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Accounting for monthly progress draws.

+Measure project performance in-order to evaluate and propose best practices for future projects.

+Manage project scope and cost changes while mitigating schedule changes.

• Facilitate change requests and ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on budget and schedule.
• Build and maintain positive client and vendor relationships.
• Attend meetings for each assigned project as needed.
• Oversee the transfer of project close-out documentation.

Qualifications

• 5 years experience in a Site Forman position.
• 5 years Welding experience.
• Experience in commercial construction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the OHS Act.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and goal oriented.
• Strong team player with an ability to work independently.
• Solid drawing interpretation and mathematical skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Ability to learn, apply, and adapt quickly.
• Proven ability to problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Diploma or Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
• Wage Range: $36.00 – $50.00 per hour depending on experience.
• Ability to commute to job sites within the Greater Toronto Area
