Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking one (1) Senior Procurement Specialist to join our team at Service Alberta to support procurement for the Data Unit within the Government of Alberta.
The successful contractor(s) have an anticipated October 24, 2022 start date for a 5-month contract (ending March 31, 2023) with two 6-month extensions available (total contract term up to 17 months).
NOTES ON LOCATION: Resource will work remotely, though must be available for onsite meetings when required. Client is in Edmonton, Alberta. Standard Hours of work are 08:15 – 16:30 Alberta time. Remote work must be done from within Canada, due to network and data security policies. The client does not pay for travel to attend on-site meetings.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
The Data Unit requires the support of contingent labour in order to support the current complement of resources. Working as a liaison between the Data Unit and the relevant procurement offices within Service Alberta the Contractor will be required to draft accurate and comprehensive procurement (Request for Proposals (RFP), Pre-Qualificaiton Requests (PQR), Statement of Work (SoW) etc.), and evaluation documents.
The services of a Procurement Specialist are required to:
The successful Contractor will be precluded from responding to, or providing assistance to any individual or organization in relation to, any of the related Data Unit procurement solicitations for the new contractual arrangements.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Working as a liaison between the Data Unit and the relevant procurement offices within Service Alberta the Contractor will be required to draft accurate and comprehensive procurement (Request for Proposals (RFP), Pre-Qualification Requests (PQR), Statement of Work (SoW) etc.), and evaluation documents.
The Contractor will be required to:
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
MANDATORY SKILLS
– The proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following: (5+ years)
OR

– Experience providing procurement specialist services including evaluation of responses, and management of RFP and procurement processes within an organization of comparable size and complexity to the GOA (5+ years)
– Experience in public sector procurement processes including an understanding of trade agreements and competitive bid law (5+ years)
– Experience in business writing and communications for Executive or Senior Management (5+ years)
– Active participation in open, competitive procurement(s) for services with contract values over $5 million annually (3+ years)
– Experience with procurement processes for services contracts (such as PQR, RFI, RFC, RFP) in public sector (5+ years)
DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
– Experience in conducting or facilitating sessions with involvement from internal business units and external organizations (5+ years)
– Experience in a leadership and/or facilitation role (5+ years)
– Experience making decisions and recommendations on highly technical or complex issues and without formal guidelines or precedents (5+ years)
– Experience gathering and translating requirements into solicitation documents (5+ years)
– Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management, and vendors (5+ years)
