Job Description:
Processing patient records for scanning.
Responsible for promoting confidentiality & privacy awareness
Exercises judgement and resolves issues
Builds relationships with our internal and external customers
Accountable for productivity and accuracy
Has an understanding of and demonstrates the strategic priorities and core commitments
Other duties as assigned by management
Weekend coverage
Qualifications:
Post- Secondary School Graduate from approved Health Information Management or related program preferred.
Previous HIM experience is an asset
Advanced understanding of HIM and registration policies, procedures and practices
Flexible availability, including weekends
Experience in accessing clinical applications and Microsoft applications
Good interpersonal, decision making, organizational, problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, concentrate for long periods of time
Attention to detail
A professional and friendly attitude that reflects a true customer service orientation, combined with a positive work performance and attendance record
Exceptional communication, teamwork and analytical skills
Location:
We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). Acknowledging that the primary works space will be remote work from home, but there will be times when onsite presence is appropriate just as there will be times when onsite presence may not be possible.
The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employee’s place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy. Since employees should be available to return to the workplace with 24 hours’ notice, remote work outside of the province or country is not acceptable.
