Position Overview
The Senior Advisor will be accountable for the effective intake and management of complaints, consultation, and advice on human rights matters. They will support and facilitate early resolution of disputes where possible, through expertise in conflict resolution, conflict coaching, mediation, restoration and other alternate dispute resolution strategies. When appropriate, the Senior Advisor will directly, or through other members of the HR Services team, conduct thorough and timely investigations into complaints based on human rights, race, workplace disrespect, and discrimination and harassment.
This role will require interaction with every level of the organization, from the front line to senior leadership. The Senior Advisor will play a key role in supporting team development and understanding of/compliance with legislation and policies related to human rights, equity, sexual violence, and accessibility. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to influence and support organizational change through advice, support, and partnership. Working in collaboration with the Anti-Racism and Equity Office, the Senior Advisor will play a pivotal role in bridging the work of Human Resources investigations and advisory services with our primary corporate partner division.
As a key member of our HR advisory team, the Senior Advisor will champion equity, inclusion and anti-racism principles, strategies, and learning across the division and throughout the organization. Responsibilities and accountabilities for the role include:

We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). Acknowledging that the primary works space will be remote work from home, but there will be times when on-site presence is appropriate just as there will be times when on-site presence may not be possible.
The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employee’s place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy. Since employees should be available to return to the workplace with 24 hours’ notice, remote work outside of the province or country is not acceptable.
