Job Description Drafting Technician We are an industry leading supplier of metal products, and we need a motivated and detail-oriented Drafting Technician to join our Planning Group. Our Planning Group is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with our nationwide Sales and Fabrication Teams to effectively deliver customer requests accurately and on schedule. You will be bringing customer designs to reality.
Responsibilities:
Interpreting customer structural and metal fabrication sketches
Ensuring drawings and requests meet compliance regulation
Turn designs into technical drawings
Delivering quality work while ensuring quick turnaround times
Preparing for fabrication with project documentation
Create requests using the drafting and fabrication schedule
Coordinate with the sales and fabrication groups
Creating and maintaining stock drawings.
Experience:
Proficient with drafting software (SolidWorks preferred, DraftSight/AutoCAD acceptable)
1 – 3 years of drafting experience
Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of metal fabrication techniques
Diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or equivalent experience
Drafter Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, In-Office
