If you possess a high level of professionalism, a positive attitude, an attention to detail, initiative and the drive to succeed, let’s chat!About the Role:Supported by the Chief Financial Officer, this role is accountable for the accounting and payroll functions within the dealership; to include the production of periodic financial reports, processing various general ledger transactions, maintenance of employee benefits applicable to the Dealership personnel and administration and process of payroll.Schedule: Full-time – Monday to FridaySalary: $65K – $70K (based on experience)Benefits:Extended Health CareDentalRRSPEmployee Assistance ProgramPaid time off, etc.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare dealership financial statements for submission to manufacturer and bankPrepare monthly reconciliations for dealership financial statementsPrepare deal sheets and posting of all commissions and back pay-outsPrepare bank reconciliationsPrepare lien payout codingComplete bank reconciliations on a timely basis, investigate any variancesProcess new employees and departures into both dealership and payroll software applicationsManage employee filesPrepare warranty reconciliationsReconcile manufacturer statements, inventory, service contracts, vehicle dealer reservesPrepare and reconcile hourly payroll for dealershipsPrepare and reconcile sales commissions for dealershipOversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processed by AP/AR personnelEnhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishmentsQualifications:Must have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in an accounting roleDealership experience is requiredExceptional attention to detail and high level of accuracyExcellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-taskMust maintain a high level of discretion and confidentialityAbility to effectively respond to and meet the needs of a diverse client baseThe ability to self-manage oneself in a fast paced and deadline-oriented roleStrong communication skillsTech Savvy – MS Office applications, OutlookAbout UsRecognized as one of the most innovative dealer groups in Canada, Trotman Auto Group also known as “TAG”, is an industry-leading, diversified dealer group representing 13 major OEM brands through 11 dealerships located across British Columbia.
