Established in 2010, True Key Hotels & Resorts is a relatively young company, but has the resources and expertise it takes to strategically market each property and manage daily operations.

Summing it up

The Sales Manager will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying and closing business in all market segments for the True Key collection of properties. Developing specific sales objectives and strategies, goals, target groups and sales quotas to ensure a strong market presence for True Key Hotels & Resorts.

This a full time remote work position.

What you’ll be doing

• Actively promote True Key Hotels & Resorts and its properties while contributing operational and financial responsibility through value and loyalty.
• Practice customer relationship management techniques and maintain a detailed list of work in progress and contacts.
• Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
• Focus on diversifying customer base and identifying new markets and business opportunities to increase sales.
• Analyze and maintain knowledge of customers, market trends and competition.
• Attend trade shows, conferences and industry meetings.
• Take ownership and build upon the current True Key sales program.
• Develop relationships within the communities True Key operates in to strengthen and expand customer base for group sales opportunities.
• Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels and industry DMO partners to maximize market revenue potential and increase market share.
• Plan and execute sales trips, sales calls, site visits and client entertainment
• Maintain positive communication with all departments at True Key properties, especially with regards to rate integrity and participate in regular sales and marketing meetings.
• Assisting the Director of Sales & Marketing in the development of the sales and marketing plan, related presentations, compilation of competitive intelligence information and execution of items related to the sales operation.

Who you are

• Previous sales experience in the tourism industry is required.
• Pre-existing network of contacts is an asset.
• A high level of selling skills to source out, pursue, and close sales with new customers in a variety of markets.
• A flexible, yet detail oriented, individual who thrives in dynamic and changing environments.
• A desire to be a key player in a growing company.
• A valid driver’s license and vehicle for mobility to attend sales calls, visits to True Key properties, meetings, events, etc.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Experience with customer relationship management software.

Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
