Do you have a proven track record of completing project management or preconstruction tasks for interior renovation projects of 10,000 sq ft to 125,000 sq ft.? Are you experienced working with engineers, sub-contractors, architects, and interior designers? Do you love all the details that come with managing interior renovation work?
Truspace is looking for a hardworking, construction and design-savvy person who is amenable to new ways of working and new ways of looking at the design + construction industry. A high level of detail is critical for planning, scheduling, estimating, and working with clients and teams. The successful candidate will be personable and able to present in a caring, confident, and proactive manner to all stakeholders in a project.
Responsibilities
Create proposals and scope of work for clients to sign off on and the design and construction teams to work from to create successful projects
Lead needs analysis for technical aspects of the project to ensure all needs are discovered and met in the design and build process
Responsible to develop and the pre-construction schedule and estimate
Responsible for clear communication of needs and requirements to the design-build team, including consultants and engineers
Lead the project after sales through design, estimating, and, permitting, and tendering for a complete handover to construction
Work collaboratively with the team throughout the life of the project
Maintain client relationships and create repeat and referral business
Required Experience and Skills
Degree or Diploma in business, construction management, communications, interior design, or architectural technology
5+ years of successfully leading the pre-construction for interior design and/or construction
Design education is an asset
Experience working in a distributed work environment is an asset
Class five driver’s license and able to drive to client meetings and complete site visits
Excellent communication – both verbal and written
Team-focused – able to create and maintain valuable relationships with team members and clients
Entrepreneurial and self-driven
Firm grasp of numbers and experience creating proposals that work for both the client and the company
Works well with people and in a team environment, but is also able to work alone and get things done with little supervision
