Responsibilities
Design Procurement – preparing and sending Purchase Orders for Engineering, Architects, Graphics, etc.
Pricing and securing of specific long lead items – i.e. flooring, furniture, specialty materials, etc.
Construction Tendering: reviewing RFP document, review specification documents, gather required drawings and attachments, prepare Dropbox for issue of tendering documents, send out addendums and clarifications as required, obtain quotes from all suppliers for Truspace supplied materials, and tabulate all proponent’s responses for review.
Construction Procurement: submitting Purchase Orders to vendors, ensuring lead times are in line with the project schedule
Project Coordination: liaise between trades and Truspace Designers and Project Managers for questions and to ensure proper understanding of the project scope; ensuring trades are lined up to be on site at the right date and time
Participating in the tracking of project milestones; assists with the maintenance of the project schedule
Filling out Matrix for vendors, flagging any trades that may pose a risk to the project schedule
Maintaining various data base requirements for estimating and tendering purposes.
Change Orders: assist Project Manager in producing RFIs, PCNs and Change orders, set up and maintain logs to track them, including all design and consultant responses, client sign off, trade quotes, etc.
Review of Trade and Supplier invoices to ensure they align with our Purchase Order
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Assets
Technical College Diploma or Degree
Procurement Program Diploma is an asset.
3-5 years project coordination experience within the Commercial Construction/Tenant Improvement industry is a requirement.
Experience reading construction drawings is a necessity.
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
Understanding of interior construction processes.
Basic understanding of all materials used in interior construction and knowledge of their costs.
Good command of the English language, both verbal and written.
Proven leadership skills.
Ability to work in a busy and growing environment.
Punctual, focused on organization and detail.
Excels in customer relations and can work well in a team-oriented environment.
Ready and willing to go the extra mile on projects when needed.
Customer service focussed – both internally and externally.
