The Township’s Fire and Emergency Services is looking for a dynamic individual to fill the role of Administrative Assistant. The Administrative Assistant is the Township’s primary point of contact for customer service within Fire and Emergency Services. They play an important role in the day to day functions of Fire and Emergency Services through communications with employees and the public.
Reporting to the Director of Fire and Emergency Services, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for coordinating and maintaining confidential operational and administrative support to Fire and Emergency Services.
We are seeking a professional who brings 2-3 years of administration experience to the role, preferably in a municipal setting, and who considers their exceptional attention to detail, and ability to interpret and analyze sensitive information be a key strength and an important aspect of the role. Preference will be given to candidates who have experience and/or technical aptitude within a Fire/Emergency Services setting. A degree in Business Administration or other related field is required.
The wage this position is $26.67 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package, in accordance with the Collective Agreement with CUPE-Local 4336.
