Description
The Engineering Manager will provide Leadership to a team in the Workforce Management (WFM) Domain, working on developing software to enhance and support the engineering activities.
The Engineering Manager will be responsible for the direct management of Software Engineers to develop new features for our WFM platform.
Our Leadership principles are trust in the foundation of successful relationships, dive deep and operate at all levels, ownership including owning mistakes and fostering an environment to fail forward, bias for action and promotion of diversity of experiences and perspectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Create the conditions for your Engineers to succeed, collaborate with other organizations within the company to eliminate roadblocks for your team
• Partner with the Product Management team to meet or exceed all committed product timelines for the team
• Synthesize high-level initiative descriptions and direction from your Leadership to drive clear problem and success definitions for your team
• Manage the engineering capacity of a 5+ person team
• Ensure optimal organizational structure within the development team
• Manage hiring plan/continually improve the talent and engagement level of the teams
• Accountable for team’s technical decisions and debt
• Manage quality of product KPI, manage SLA of the team and drive continuous improvement
• Work with individuals to set appropriate, challenging development goals, meet requirements and expectations of both internal and external customers
• Provide actionable feedback and opportunities to team members to lead them to high performance
• Create and maintain high performing strong team and sharing wins and successes
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
• More than 6 years of experience developing enterprise-scale products
• Previous experience as a developer would be nice to have
• Multiple years of experience in managing teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
• More than 2 years of experience managing Software Engineers and Quality Analysts
• Scrum Master experience will be a plus
• BS/MS in Computer Science
Preferred Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills
